TESTIMONIALS
A year ago I became concerned about how my saddle was fitting on my horse, when I started seeing a patch of white hairs on his shoulder. It was a Sharon Sarre saddle, and we had tried molds of the various trees to get the one that fit him best, but the white hairs and a couple of other things led me to looking at saddles again. I had read the information on Pony's website and the Synergist website about their saddles and then saw them at the Midwest Horse Fair in Madison. After talking with them and watching their video, I decided to get one of their saddles. Dave and CJ at Synergist were absolutely wonderful to work with and delivered what - and when they said they would.
We were going to be making a trip to Missouri in June, so we sent back the mold of my horses back with pictures during the fair and I got my saddle two weeks prior to the trip. Last weekend we had a chiropractor out to look at my horse, Blazer, and he said he knew someone who had gotten a Synergist saddle, but hadn't seen it, and was excited to get to see one. He placed the saddle on Blazer's back, and when he was checking the fit, he started to say; " it seems the saddle was custom fit to Blazer's back"..... but stopped part way through, because he remembered it was custom made for him. I was very encouraged when he said that this was the best fitting saddle on a horse he had seen.
He also commented on there being plenty of room for Blazer's shoulders to move. My Dad has also noticed that the saddle rides very well and doesnÍt slide around. You often see saddles sliding back and forth as the person rides, not mine. I really like the way the girth straps go through the sheepskin pad holding the pad right with the saddle. I'm getting use to the English style girth and am liking it. My Nephew rode the saddle and commented that it was a lot more comfortable than the saddle he had been riding. We are able to use my saddle on two of our horses. My nephew only has one more hole before he is out of stirrups. I'm only 5'4 and at 16yrs he is 5'9. We may be considering another saddle next year!

I was talking with Pony during our lunch break at the event in south Texas last October, and I explained how I was having trouble finding a comfortable saddle. I have CFIDS (The disorder that Laura Hillenbrand, author of Seabiscuit, has) and three of my doctors told me I may never ride again. I've ridden English all of my life, but now I need the support of a western saddle.
Unfortunately, western saddles cause me too much pain. Pony told me about Synergist and how they are made to perfectly fit horse and rider. I bought one. Mine is a cross between a western, dressage, and endurance saddle. My body stays in perfect alignment (decreasing pain), I have close contact with my horse and the support I need.
Pony has always given me great horsemanship advice, but this time he gave me great saddle advise. I'm up to 20 minutes riding at a time!

I had been shopping for a new lighter weight saddle for pleasure riding, and I was aware of Synergist but had not seen one of their saddles until Pony offered to let me try his on my horse during one of his seminars. I tried it, and was impressed by the quality of the saddle, as well as how much lighter it was than a "regular" saddle.
More importantly, my horse let me know right away that he liked the saddle. He seemed much lighter on his feet, and more attentive to my changes of body position. Even though the saddle was not made to my measurements, it instantly felt more comfortable than the saddle I had been riding. Synergist uses several innovative techniques in making these saddles, such as the "jean seam" channel they cut in the seat.
Anyone considering one of these saddles should get a copy of the free video from Synergist which shows clearly the design philosophy, the many available options and colors, and the family that builds your new saddle to fit you and your horse perfectly.

I received my Team Pony Boy Synergist saddle about three weeks ago and am enjoying it very much. No saddle seemed to fit my short-backed, mutton-withered Paint, Kiowa. I tried all the different styles and seats from English to western, and each one wound up leaving him sore and with sores. After trying five different saddles I finally gave up and decided to ride him bareback.
I had been bareback for about a month when I stopped to talk with GaWaNi Pony Boy at the Pomona, CA Equine Affaire. When I told him the problems I was having he handed me a video cassette from Synergist Saddles. I watched it and was blown away by their philosophy, craftsmanship, and endearing family business. I called them the next day and within six weeks I had my beautiful, custom-made saddle.
The great thing about Synergist is the amount of customizing you can do to create exactly the saddle you want. I chose a western seat with braiding, no horn, and English rigging - all standard. My only "extra" was a gel cushioned seat pad. The saddle and supplied girth fit Kiowa perfectly; the seat and stirrup length were perfect for me from the start. I had comments that my posture improved in the saddle, as well.
We've already enjoyed many rides with our new Synergist saddle and I'm happy to report - no sores, no sore back, no bad attitude! I'd recommend a Synergist saddle to anyone who wants more freedom of movement and amazing comfort for both horse and rider.
